Qiala’s Official Media Bio
Qiala Patrice Richards, who writes and speaks as Qi, is an author, speaker, and the founder of Still Becoming Media. Her debut memoir, First Name, Not Mom: The Rebirth Guide Back to You, invites women to remember who they were before the roles, the labels, and the quiet disappearing act of motherhood.
Qi writes from the intersection of identity, motherhood, and neurodivergence. Diagnosed as AuDHD in adulthood, she brings a rare lens to her work, one that honors how women actually experience reinvention rather than how we are told to perform it. Her proprietary Q.I.A.L.A. framework, Question, Investigate, Align, Live, Activate, gives readers and audiences a practical pathway back to themselves.
Alongside her writing, Qi holds dual MBAs in Organizational Leadership and Project Management, is a certified Pilates mat instructor, and a licensed cosmetologist. She lives in Georgia with her husband and teenage son, where she is currently working on the second and third books in the Still Becoming trilogy.
She does not come as a performer. She comes as a witness.
Qiala Patrice Richards is the author of First Name, Not Mom: The Rebirth Guide Back to You and the founder of Still Becoming Media. Writing and speaking as Qi, she helps women reclaim their identity beyond the roles they carry, using her proprietary Q.I.A.L.A. framework. Her work sits at the intersection of motherhood, identity, and neurodivergence, shaped by her own journey as an AuDHD woman in midlife reinvention.
Qiala is the author of First Name, Not Mom and a speaker who helps women reclaim who they were before the labels, the roles, and the quiet disappearing act of motherhood.

SIGNATURE TALKS
Qi’s Keynote Topics
Every audience is different, but the core of Qi’s message stays the same: helping women remember who they were before the roles, and giving them a framework to find their way back. Each talk is shaped by her Q.I.A.L.A. framework and can be adapted for conferences, retreats, corporate wellness, and faith communities.
First Name, Not Mom
For women who have built a life around everyone else and forgotten the woman underneath. This keynote unpacks the quiet disappearing act of motherhood and gives audiences the permission, language, and first steps to reclaim their identity without abandoning the roles they love.
Still Becoming
For audiences in the messy middle of reinvention. This talk reframes midlife not as a crisis but as a rebirth, with practical tools from the Q.I.A.L.A. framework to help women move through transition with clarity instead of shame.
The Neurodivergent Reclamation
For women who have spent a lifetime masking, performing, or trying to fit a system that was never built for their brain. Drawing from her own AuDHD journey, Qi opens space for honest conversation about how neurodivergent women come home to themselves, and what real productivity, rhythm, and identity look like outside of neurotypical defaults.
